Honeymoon; ‘a period of unusual harmony’

With oil and watercolour works from James Giddy, sculptural pieces from Jason Wooldridge and a soundscape from Chris Young, a.k.a. Chip Hazard, this body of work looks to isolate subjects from their known context, encouraging the audience to consider alternative perspectives drawn from their own subconscious, and their associations with the subject.

The exhibition follows on from Giddy's SPECTATOR exhibition, looking at human and animal relationships with the Australian environment. Introducing this work to the regional audience of the Esperance region, furthered this conversation and allowed Giddy to gauge how the areas and lifestyle that influenced the investigation, responded and related to the works.
